The module is directed by Dr. Oliver Hawlitschek and comprises lecture, seminar (with talks by the participants), and hands-on class in the lab and field. Participation in the advance meeting is mandatory because of the distribution of seminar topics and the logistics of the field days.

* Factors of threat to species survival
* International conservation legislation
* Conservation law and management in Germany
* Use of GIS for IUCN Red List assessment
* Environmental impact assessment and planning
* Visit to a conservation management site
* Visit to the conservation department of Bavaria (LfU)
Students may register via LSF.
The number of participants is limited to 12.
Successful participation is awarded with 3 ECTS.
